What is ARMA?

ARMA New Brunswick is a Chapter of ARMA International, a not-for-profit association serving more than 11,000 information management professionals in countries all over the world. We provide professional development opportunities, research, and news about what's happening in our field, and connect information managers with other professionals in their local area and across the country.

If you work in the field of information management, you may find an ARMA membership helpful in keeping your skills up to date. If you are an employer who has information managers in your organization, you may wish to consider memberships for your employees. Even if you are not a member of our Chapter, you are welcome to attend Chapter educational events. Information management is a field that is closely related to many other functions, so often our seminar topics will have cross-over with topics related to IT, privacy, information access, compliance, and legal issues.

Our mission: to provide information professionals the resources, tools, and training they need to effectively manage records and information within an established information governance framework. 

Our vision: ARMA International is a leader in information governance because we are the authority on records and information management (RIM). RIM is broadly recognized as the foundation of information governance.

Our core purpose: to promote principles and practices that 1) result in organizations understanding that their success relies on the effective management and governance of information and 2) create career and professional development opportunities in RIM and information governance.
